Artists Honored by RAA Summer Exhibition
The 59th Summer Exhibition of the Redwood Art Association is in honor of Julia Bednar, Eureka painter and long-time active member. The exhibition runs through July 14. People may see the show during Arts Alive! From 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and July 1. The gallery, located at 603 F St,Eureka, is open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Bednar, whose paintings reflect the natural world, was president of the RAA for several years and is a board member as director emeritus. She retired from a career in insurance and child welfare organizations. Bednar also is a member of Humboldt Arts Council and Fortuna Arts Council.
