Arts Alive at Mendenhall Studios
Saturday, June 5th, from 12 pm to 9pm, the artists and vendors at Mendenhall Studios (215 C St, Eureka) are excited to be hosting the first Arts Alive! event of 2021.
We have stretched the hours a bit to keep crowd sizes safe and are looking forward to a full day of seeing old friends and meeting new folks.
The Arts Band will be playing rock and jazz from 12pm to 5pm. This much-lauded band features several well-known local artists including Stock Schlueter, John King, Ken Beidlemen, and Charley Eidel.
In the evening, Chris Hinderyckx and Blake Ritter will be playing Celtic acoustic music from 6pm-9pm.
The Glass Garage crew will be hosting an Old Town-wide marble hunt at 3pm. Clues will be released on several local Facebook Marble Hunting pages (Humboldt Magical Glass Adventure, Marble Madness, and Westcoast Glass Madness).
It’s highly recommended that you join these groups ahead of time to have the best chance of seeing the clues and— fingers crossed!—claiming one of the 12 prize marbles.
Covid precautions will still be in place, and we ask that all guests wear masks when inside the Mendenhall compound.
It’s been a long year, but our heads are still above water, and we are all looking forward to this important step in returning to our new normal.
