Inspired by Lewis Hyde’s beloved classic “The Gift: Creativity and the Artist in the Modern World,” GIFT is an intimate exploration of real-life gift economies, a reflection on the creative process, and a celebration of the imagination. ​Profiles include Rome’s Metropoliz inhabited museum, which houses refugees and displaced people amongst its art, a Native American man’s preparation for a ritualistic parting with material goods known as potlatch, a Burning Man artist’s giving project, & more!
