Atalanta’s Victory Run
The 43rd annual Atalanta’s Victory Run put on by the Six Rivers Running Club and the North Coast Co-op is set to take place this Mother’s Day, May 10th, 2026. Named for the mythological Greek runner, Atalanta, who was uncontested as the swiftest in the land, this race is a celebration of the power and strength of women. This fun celebration of womanhood annually draws about 500 local runners of all ages from toddlers to octogenarians.
Starting and finishing at the Arcata Co-op the race consists of 2 mile and 5 mile flat out and back courses through the Arcata bottoms and is open to strollers and wheelchairs. Both races start at 10am. Proceeds from the race support the Breast and GYN Health Project as well as local running teams.
