AUDITIONS for Ferndale Rep’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood

Ferndale Repertory Theatre is excited to announce auditions for our upcoming spring production of Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood — a fast-paced, witty, and swashbuckling comedy full of heart, humor, and adventure.

This playful reimagining of the Robin Hood legend is packed with physical comedy, bold characters, and joyful storytelling. We are seeking performers of all experience levels who are excited to work collaboratively and lean into the fun.

The Audition
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Sides will be provided at the audition. If you are interested in previewing the script, please email Jessie at jessie@ferndalerep.org.

No monologues required
No accents required (unless you want to play!)
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for light movement

This production prioritizes storytelling, comedic timing, and ensemble chemistry. First-time performers are warmly encouraged to audition.

About the Show
Sherwood is a clever, high-spirited retelling of the Robin Hood legend, full of flying arrows, swordplay, and laugh-out-loud moments. Ken Ludwig’s script celebrates courage, justice, friendship, and standing up for what’s right—with plenty of theatrical flair along the way.

This is a medium-sized ensemble cast with opportunities for performers ages 16+, welcoming a wide range of experience levels.

Production Details

Rehearsals Begin: February 2026
Rehearsals will follow a Monday–Friday evening schedule (6:30–9:30 PM).
Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal.

Rehearsals in Eureka: February 2 – March 13
Rehearsals in Ferndale: March 15 – April 2

Performance Dates: April 3 – April 26, 2026
Fridays at 7:30 PM
Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 PM
