Backpacking the Lost Coast

April 7-9: Friday 5 pm – Sunday evening This introductory backpacking course takes you on a section of the famous Lost Coast trail, an area that is unique to the entire coast of California. Though the trail is moderately level, the soft sand and traverse rocks make it an ideal challenge for any backpacker. Registration Deadline: Tuesday before the trip Mandatory Pre-trip Meeting: Tuesday April 4th, 5:30-7:00 PM, Recreation & Wellness Center Program Fee Includes: outdoor professionals highly educated and trained in backcountry living, advanced backcountry medical training, transportation to and from trailhead equipped with a commercial driver’s license, backcountry permits, and 5 fully prepared meals starting with Saturday’s breakfast.
