Bay to Dunes Environmental Educator Training

Friends of the Dunes is seeking volunteers to lead groups of elementary students on field trips to the Humboldt Bay and coastal dunes in Manila.Volunteers will lead students in an exploration of coastal environments through hands-on activities, educational games, and guided inquiry during Bay to Dunes field trips. No experience is necessary, a full training will take place on Friday, March 4 and Friday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center, 220 Stamps Lane in Manila. Attendance at both sessions is required. Please bring a bag lunch, water and dress appropriately to spend the day exploring coastal habitats.
