Beltane with the Sisters

Halvorsen Park

Are you a May Queen? Fae Queen? Faking? Baking? Union Steward or Bearded Druid? How about a pole dancer or ribbon prancer? Or maybe you are all of those and beyond!

Regardless, join your Eureka Sisters April 26th at Halvorsen Park in Eureka for another classic park takeover!!! The event will start at 2pm, with the ritual expected to begin between 2:30-3pm.
Like years past we will be raising a maypole, and engaging in some community magic! Feel free to bring things to have yourself a cute little picnic, and/or bring fresh flowers, ribbon for the pole, and other [biodegradable] offerings to celebrate spring! We will be hosting our usual Mayday ritual, complete with the crowning of a new May Queen, and the traditional ribbon dance to bind bounty to this coming year.

However, this time our very own Novice Sister Roman will be sharing a very special moment with the community and the culmination of her Novice Project. This Novice project will establish a new community resource and tradition that will live on for as long as the Sisters do, bridging the path behind and the path ahead with the path beneath our feet. You, dear community, will have the opportunity to participate in this beautiful “unveiling”. So come with open hearts and listening ears to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event.

We can’t wait to see you there!
