Benbow Historic Inn’s 25th Annual Wine Auction

25th Annual Charity Wine Tasting and Silent Auction from 2:00PM - 4:00PM followed by a live auction from 5:00 - 6:00PM. For 25 years, the Benbow has hosted this event to support local community members, groups and non-profits, raising over $560,000. for schools, Hospice, the Healy Senior Center, the Family of Cameron Varnell, Humboldt Historic Society, the Humboldt County Library, Sanctuary Forest, Southern Humboldt Technical Rescue, etc. This year’s recipient is local resident, Tina Byerley who is battling cancer and exorbitant medical costs. Tina is well known for her active community involvement as well her friendly customer service at a local bank. Entry to the event is $25.00 per person. Hotel guests receive complimentary passes. Over 15 wineries will be pouring new releases and older library wines including White Oak, Navarro, Joseph Jewell, Shugg, CG di Arie, Briceland, Old Growth Cellars, Trinity River as well as portfolio wines from Springboard, Epic, Vino do Vino and Pacini. Two Town Cider will be pouring numerous new flavors of their hard ciders. The Benbow Historic Inn will provide hearty hors d’oeuvres including lamb and oysters. Silent auction items include gift certificates to local businesses, artwork, jewelry, hotel stays and a variety of wines. At 5:00PM, auctioneer Rex Bohn will take the podium inciting guests to bid on Napa trips, stays in San Francisco, artwork, large format bottles and other unique wines.
