Big Lagoon Birding Trip
Join the Redwood Region Audubon Society and trip leader Carol Wilson for a Big Lagoon birding adventure on Sunday, February 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Carol has surveyed many species of birds around this beach, including snowy plovers, ducks, grebes in the lagoon, pipits, and sometimes meadowlarks in the restored dunes. Sparrows, blackbirds, corvids, and the occasional kestrel also frequent this beautiful landscape. Meet at the Big Lagoon County Parking lot (cash fee of $5 for day use) and email Carol at capepeirce[at]yahoo.com with questions.
