Black and Blue Dialogue

Kate Buchanan Room

In the wake of the tragic events and loss of life this summer and reinvigorated by recent shootings and civil unrest, the African American Center for Academic Excellence is organizing a Black and Blue Dialogues program. The Black and Blue Dialogue is an event to open up a productive discussion between the black community and local law enforcement community in order to discuss the relationship between the two communities, dismantle the misconceptions that are ascribed upon both of these communities, and discuss strategies for healing. All are welcome to attend.

The event will include a panel of community representatives (Black faculty, staff, and students) and law enforcement officials from Arcata Police, Eureka Police, and University Police. We are collecting questions for the panelists to respond to at the event.
