🍎🎃 Blue Lake Community Harvest Festival 🌻🎶
Sunday, October 18, 2026 | 1–4 PM Mad River Grange
The Blue Lake Community Resource Center and the Mad River Grange are excited to host this year’s Community Harvest Festival!
Come gather with friends and neighbors for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating the abundance of the season and our wonderful community. We’ll have live bluegrass music, apple pressing, a pumpkin-growing contest, harvest sharing, crafts, gardening education, a recipe swap, and a seasonal dish share.
🎶 Live Music
Enjoy live bluegrass music with Banjo Makes 3!
🎨 Free Art Activities
The WonderWagon will be here with free, family-friendly art activities for everyone to enjoy.
🍎 Apple Pressing
Help us press fresh apple cider! Please bring your own jar or container to take home your cider.
Apple donations are greatly appreciated! You can:
• Bring apples to the festival
• Drop off apples at the Blue Lake Community Resource Center during the week leading up to the event, Tuesday–Friday, 9 AM–3 PM
Please no windfall apples, as apples that have fallen on the ground may contain bacteria.
🎃 Pumpkin Growing Contest
The Mad River Grange’s beloved annual Pumpkin Growing Contest is back! More details coming soon.
🌻 Harvest Sharing Table
Our friends from Neighborhood Harvest are hosting a Harvest Sharing Table! Community members are invited to bring garden goodies to share with neighbors — fruit, vegetables, flowers, herbs, seeds, and more. Let’s celebrate the abundance of our gardens and share the harvest with our community!
🍪 Recipe Swap & Dish Share
Bring a favorite harvest-inspired finger food to share! Think pumpkin loaf, seasonal cookies, dips, savory bites, or your own fall favorite.
We’ll provide small plates and toothpicks, but no forks, spoons, or other utensils, so please choose something easy to enjoy by hand.
For everyone’s safety, please:
Bring a note card listing all ingredients in your dish.
Include the name of the person who prepared it.
Consider bringing your food in a disposable container, or remember to take your serving dish home with you. We can’t be responsible for dishes that are lost or left behind.
Recipe Wall: Bring a printout of your favorite harvest-inspired recipe! Recipes will be displayed on our Recipe Wall for attendees to browse, share, and get inspired. Can’t print your recipe? No problem! Email your recipe to molly.homen@providence.org by October 15, and we’ll print it and bring it to the event for you.
🌱 Gardening Education
The UC Master Gardeners will be joining us! They’re a wealth of local gardening knowledge and will be on hand to answer your questions and share helpful tips — from planting a winter garden to saving seeds and more.
❤️ This family-friendly event is all about gathering with friends and neighbors, enjoying local food, sharing what we grow, and celebrating the wonderful Blue Lake community.
We look forward to seeing you at the Blue Lake Community Harvest Festival! 🍎🎃🌻
