Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Summer Youth Camp
Kids between the ages of 6 and 11 can expect Martial Arts training, fun and games, and self-defense skills at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Youth Summer Camp Program at Humboldt Jiu Jitsu Academy in Arcata.
Humboldt Jiu Jitsu Academy is at 1041 F Street between 10th and 11th streets in downtown Arcata. The summer camp is from noon to 3pm, Monday through Friday on the week of June 18 - 22, 2018 which is the first week after school ends. Students are encouraged to bring a snack.
Two of the most advanced martial arts instructors in Humboldt County will instruct the Summer Camp: First Degree Black Belt, Marcello Daflon, from Carlson Gracie Team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Head Stand-Up Instructor and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt, Joshua Cuppett.
The cost is $160 for the week (or $45 per individual day) and all levels of experience are encouraged to attend.
The dress code is work-out clothes or shorts and t-shirts.
Kids will build confidence, learn body awareness, play, have fun, and make friends, all while training the most efficient Martial Art in the world: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
The instructors will teach your kids the game of Jiu Jitsu.
Every move has points and the kids will learn how to play and win. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the best non-violent self-defense for kids. The kids will learn takedowns, falling, controls and body awareness.
