Brazilian Percussion Workshop Weekend

Join us for 3 workshops to explore the percussion of Brazil.

Fri 3/27 6-8 Rio Style Samba Bateria. If you’ve ever seen the North Country Fair Samba Parade and wanted to learn how to drum with us, this class is for you!

Sat 3/28 4-6 & Sun 3/29 1130-130 is Pagode for all levels. Ever wonder what a neighborhood party in Rio de Janeiro feels like? Join us for an introduction to Pagode, a joyful and social subgenre of Samba. Pagode is an intimate “backyard style” of music focused on connection and fun.

What to expect:
No experience needed: Everything will be explained and you will get to try different instruments.
Social atmosphere: Pagode is traditionally played in a circle where everyone participates. We’ll learn the basic rhythms used in these lively community gatherings.
Cost: $30/workshop OR $80 weekend pass to all workshops
