Cal Poly Humboldt Guitar Ensemble

The Cal Poly Humboldt Department of Dance, Music and Theatre presents “The Cal Poly Humboldt Guitar Ensemble” directed by Jennifer Trowebridge. The concert will feature music by Brazilian composers Antonio Carlos Jobim, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Celso Machado as well as Cuban composer Leo Brouwer, and the Beatles, along with student compositions, arrangements, and improvisations. The students will perform solo, duo, trio, and large ensemble works, sharing the variety of ways the guitar can emulate an orchestra, a jazz combo, and a rock band. Join us Sunday, April 26th at 2pm at the Fulkerson Recital at Cal Poly Humboldt to experience the awesome vibrations of the guitar ensemble.
