Candelabra Trees of Mendo Hike

Experience the candelabra trees and coastal vistas of the Peter Douglas Trail on Saturday, June 22 with your hosts, Sanctuary Forest and Friends of the Lost Coast. Located near Usal Campground on BLM’s soon-to-be acquired Lost Coast Redwoods property, this acquisition adds 7.3 miles of coastline and nearly 3,300 forested acres to the conserved public lands of the Lost Coast. The hike is approximately 2 miles and features the unique candelabra trees, plus discussion of the Lost Coast Redwoods project.
