Celebrating 20 Years of Synapsis!

Synapsis

Join us in celebrating 20 years of Synapsis! It has been a wild journey, full of wonder, delight, and oddities. Most of all, it has been a space where an incredible spectrum of artists have had room to create, to play, to think, to organize, and to connect. The celebratory weekend will feature two events:
On Friday, December 20, Chubritza will perform Balkan music for an evening folk dance party, with music starting around 7pm. (No need for tickets for that one, just come and make a contribution at the door)

On Saturday, December 21 (solstice!), we will host a fairy tale themed progressive dinner (dress inspired by fairy tales), featuring 5 courses of nourishing food and fairy tale inspired performances throughout the night. Tickets are sliding scale $0-$80 (All ticket prices get the same experience…the money raised helps support event costs and pay performers. Anything extra will go toward improving our lighting system.) Selecting a ticket before Friday will help us know how much food to prepare! Arrive at 7pm!
Synapsis is located at 1675 Union Street, Eureka.
In Summer 2004, Synapsis began in a warehouse next to the soup kitchen in Eureka. Over the past 20 years it has contained a whirlwind of collective projects, circus arts, community organizing, contact improvisation dance, punk shows, dance parties, art experiments, somatic practices, social justice workshops, performance trainings, cabarets, and many other incredible events.
