Centro del Pueblo’s Annual Walk: Celebrating Ancestors & Championing Our Future

Centro del Pueblo, Humboldt’s non-profit for the empowerment of the Latinx and Indigenous Peoples from the South, is set to host its annual walk from Fortuna to Eureka. This event underscores the vital role of immigrants in Humboldt while advocating for their rights.

Event Highlights:

Start: St. Joseph Church, 810 14th St., Fortuna, 5:00 am.

End: Gazebo, Old Town Eureka, 3-4 pm.

Offerings: Food during the walk; celebration in support of our walkers, Aztec & Hermana Flor dances, Mariachis at the Gazebo in Old town.

“Initiated in 2018, this walk began as a stand for keeping families together. Today, it symbolizes our commitment to human rights and immigrant inclusivity in Humboldt,” shared a representative from Centro del Pueblo.
