Cider for Non-Profits: CHECK It

Humboldt Cider Company Tap Room

Come hangout with us and enjoy delicious Cider! Help us raise funds to launch CHECK IT at Arcata High School. We’ll get a portion of the proceeds for each Cider sale from 2-10pm. We’ll have a donation jar, raffle and some free consent centered merch from 5-7pm. The event is all ages up until 7pm. More background information: North Coast Rape Crisis Team, in partnership with CHECK IT at Humboldt State University, will be launching CHECK IT at Arcata High School next Spring. CHECK IT is a bystander intervention program aimed at challenging acts of sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking and creating a more consent-centered culture that supports survivors. CHECK IT is also aimed at building community and empowering students to take action when they witness potential moments of harm and to look out for one another. CHECK IT was established at HSU in 2014. We are excited to expand CHECK IT to our local High School and work towards creating a more consent centered community in Arcata and beyond. We would love your help and community support for this project! While we have staff support to build the structure of the program, we need funds to cover outreach materials and program supplies that help create a culture of consent and bystander intervention that is tailored to the Arcata High community.
