It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each guest has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well…dead. So whodunnit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.
This production of Clue features 11 performers from Cal Poly Humboldt. In the pivotal role playing Wadsworth, the Butler, is Cal Poly Staff member Jeremy Webb. “Wadsworth is the biggest role I’ve ever had,” says Webb, “this is my debut in the Van Duzer Theatre, and also this is my first time back on stage in seven years (the last play I was in was Ripcord at Redwood Curtain Theater in October 2018). I really enjoy physical comedy, and there is a lot of it in Clue!” Every gag that can be had, will be had in this production. In the words of Webb “Certainly the ‘whodunnit’ aspect of this murder mystery will have the audience on the edge of their seats in suspense—but I’m hoping the comedy will get them out of their seats, rolling on the floor laughing!”
Performances to this rollicking comedic murder-mystery are March 28th, 29th, April 4th, and April 5th at 7:30pm and March 30th and April 6th at 2:00pm. It is encouraged that you avoid the box office lines and order tickets ahead of time at tickets.humboldt.edu/dance-music-and-theatre
