Coastal Cleanup Month Event

Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary

As part of Coastal Cleanup Month 2026, the NEC will be hosting a cleanup event from 9am to 12pm on Sunday, September 13th. Starting at the marsh parking lot on I St, the group will be collecting trash throughout the marsh and wildlife sanctuary. Join to help us steward our trails, keep our streets and waterways clean, and have fun!

All volunteers will have a chance to enter a weekly raffle with the NEC to win a locally donated prize!

Cleanup supplies will be provided, but please bring water, sun protection and wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Join with friends and family to help keep trash out of our waterways!

*Cleanup Event will be starting at the South I St Parking lot to the Arcata Marsh. GPS coordinates are 40.86170, -124.09252. You can also park near the Northcoast Environmental Center on I St and walk over.
