@ComedyHumboldt Presents a night of comedy with… Jeanette Marin: A stay-at-home mom by day and a stand-up comedian by night. She gravitates towards jobs with long titles and very little pay. When she is not hiding from her children in a closet, she delights audiences by saying what mothers are never supposed to admit in public! In 2019, she was in the S.F. International Comedy Competition and a featured comedian at the Cinequest Film Festival. Her comedy is often described as a cry for help. Aivy Cordova: Originally from Hayward, Aivy Cordova (it’s pronounced “Ivy”) began her stand-up career in San Francisco. After a 7-year hiatus to raise her son, she returned to the stage in 2016 and now performs regularly at venues throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles, including Cobb’s, Punch Line (SF and Sacramento), and HaHa Comedy Club. She has trained at Bindlestiff Studio in San Francisco, where she was a member of sketch comedy team Granny Cart Gangstas from 2013 to 2015, and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (Sunset) in Los Angeles. Sam Murphy: Sam says what we’re not brave enough to say. Sam’s lovability brings down your defenses and brings up some serious points about adult life. Raised by wolves, he has been doing stand up for five years. Danny Murphy: Danny has been doing stand-up for two years now, and he’s got answers to questions that you never knew you had. Peter Nelson is a total sweetheart with a philosopher’s wit. The energy he brings to the room will set the stage for a night of humorous joy. Musical act likely but TBD sponsored by cumboldt.com
