Conserved Lands & Waters of the Lost Coast is a 3-part virtual lecture series highlighting National Conservation Lands, Marine Protected Areas, and Tribal Protected Areas of the Lost Coast. On November 9, Calla Allison with MPA Collective presents MPAs- Conserving the Waters of the Lost Coast. CA’s Network of 124 MPAs covers 852 square miles and protects 16% of state waters. Seven MPAs lie along the Lost Coast, protecting some of the most remote and abundant sections of CA coastline. This presentation will cover the history and science of CA’s MPAs and dive into each MPA on the Lost Coast.
