Cows and Cattails Environmental Educator Training

Humboldt Coastal Nature Center

Friends of the Dunes is seeking volunteers to lead groups of elementary school students on field trips to the Freshwater Farms Reserve. During the Cows & Cattails field trip, volunteers will lead students in an exploration of restored wetlands through hands-on activities, educational games, and guided inquiry. No experience is necessary, a full training will take place on Tuesday, March 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center, 220 Stamps Lane in Manila to carpool to the site. Please bring a bag lunch, water, and boots if you have them. Dress appropriately to spend the day outside exploring wetland habitats.
