Cows and Coho, Take Two!
An Exclusive Preview of the Second Phase of Wood Creek Restoration. Join Land Trust Executive Director Mike Cipra, US Fish and Wildlife Biologist Paula Golightly, and US Fish and Wildlife Hydrologist Conor Shea on Saturday, August 6th as they provide an exclusive look at the brand new, second phase of a restoration project that will create more prime rearing habitat for young coho salmon at Freshwater Farms Reserve. Tour the restoration site with NRLT’s partners who helped plan and design this ambitious project, and get an insider’s view of the restoration just hours before the heavy equipment arrives to excavate more habitat. FREE. No RSVP necessary. Families are encouraged. Tour runs from 9:00 am – 11:30 am, and meets at the Kneeland Glen Farmstand at Freshwater Farms Reserve, 5851 Myrtle Avenue. Walk is approximately one mile. Rain or shine - dress appropriate for weather conditions. Wear durable shoes and be prepared to get muddy!
