Dell’Arte Presents 2015 Thesis Festival
The MFA class of 2015 presents three original one-act plays for six performances over two weekends, May 14 – 16 and May 21 – 23 in the Carlo Theatre, Blue Lake. Join the graduating MFA students of Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre for devised thesis projects that weave humor, absurdism, text, movement and music in a celebration of the ensemble creative process. The Thesis Festival includes: Blue Line Three eccentric characters find patience and compassion while waiting for the notoriously late Blue Line. Created and performed by Christopher Kehoe, Moses Norton, Kaitlen Osburn Cavemouth A terrible and toxic plague ravishes the countryside. In fear for her life and ignoring the desperate pleas of the impoverished commoners at the gates, the Queen has commanded quarantine on the castle. Suffering this self-imposed isolation, the Queen and her loyal servants, the Idiot and the Other bravely play out their days of exile as they await the return of the Queen’s forces who promise news, provisions, and possibly freedom. Created and performed by Hannah Gaff, Alyssa Hughlett, Sarah McKinney. A Town Called Sonder The lost town of Sonder once lay at the edge of an impossible sea of trees. Tonight we bring you wild tales from a nearly-forgotten place of love, loss, weirdness, madness, mythic creatures, dreams, and more told by the Salieri Brothers and their amazing Clockwork Man. Take a journey with us across time and space into the strange depths of the Great Forest and hear the stories of those who called it home. Created and performed by Drew Pannebecker, Lucius Robinson, and Cooper Lee Smith.
