Demonstration: Distilling Lavender Hydrosol at Humboldt Botanical Garden

Join Alina Perez, of Alina’s Alchemy in a demonstration of making floral water, or hydrosol with lavender from the gardens at HBG. Alina will be in our greenhouse throughout the afternoon with her copper still demonstrating the process of steam distillation, teaching about the uses and benefits of floral hydrosols and providing samples of the finished product. This is a free demonstration and garden visitors are welcome to drop in anytime during the hours-long process to learn and experience the fragrant results. Entry gate fees apply. HBG members enjoy free entry to the gardens, local adults $10/seniors $7.
