Diane Cluck, The Comix Trip
The Miniplex at Richards’ Goat Tavern
$10-5 sliding, 7PM (early show, 21+)
Diane got her start on the same NYC stage that brought us Kimya Dawson, Jefferey Lewis and others loosely grouped under the Antifolk banner.
Early appearances on ROUGH TRADE and IMPORTANT records helped her utterly unique (sorta like an earthier Kate Bush) sound gain notoriety- eventually charting on NPR’s Tiny Desk & Songs We Love.
Currently residing in small town Virginia, she busies herself with art, healing salves, and her song-of-the week. Diane has refined her craft with infrequent recordings and collaborations with the likes of COCOROSIE and more.
Local lo-fi Multi media juggernaut The Comix Trip to open the show!

“She is likely one of the most refined and elegant songwriters in all of neo-folkdom. A brilliant idiosyncratic guitarist, a witty and wise lyricist, an imaginative melody writer with a powerful voice; her dark and introspective tunes are utterly captivating. Watch her spellbind the room.” -Village Voice
“Diane demonstrates just how little she needs to put the world on hold: just a voice, a guitar and some of the most spell-binding words you’ll hear anywhere.” -MOJO
“Watching Cluck perform jams the senses. It’s almost easier to imagine some tiny spirit in her chest is controlling the action, turning a pitch wheel with one hand and a tone knob with the other.” -NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert
