Diles que no me maten (CDMX) + Dummy (co-headlining)

The Miniplex at Richards’ Goat Tavern

“L.A.’s Dummy are purveyors of absolutely blissful drone-pop. The quartet’s motorik rhythms and squealing guitars aim straight for the pleasure centers…” - Post Trash
They fuse sweet 1960s pop hooks with a massive, dizzying wall of electronic drone and blistering guitar fuzz. They refuse to play by standard indie rock rules. Instead, Dummy treats their studio like a mad scientist’s laboratory. They constantly mash together genres that should not work together—but somehow make you want to dance anyway.
……
For Diles que no me maten, every note is a small step into the unknown. Their name, which translates to “Tell them not to kill me!”, is a direct homage to the famous, tragic 1951 short story by the legendary Mexican author Juan Rulfo. This choice hints at the haunting, deeply cinematic atmosphere of their music.
Formed in 2017 by brothers Raúl Ponce (drums) and Gerardo Ponce (guitar). Diles que no me maten has evolved into a deeply spiritual sonic project, transforming their live musical improvisations into a true philosophy of cosmic exploration. Their latest work reaches into literary mysticism, indigenous mythology, and transcendent, hypnotic sounds that critics describe as a profound spiritual journey.
“embodies the unsullied spirit of discovery.” - Magnet
