Humboldt Light Opera Company production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”, based on the Walt Disney animation studios 1989 film and the beloved fairy tale by Danish author Hans Christian Anderson. Dive into a world of enchantment and wonder with HLOC’s spectacular live theater summer production. The Company is excited to present this visually exciting, up-beat musical about a mermaid who dreams of the world above the sea and gives up her voice to find true love. This family-friendly production will be pleasing to all ages and has multiple layers of themes… from believing in oneself, to true acceptance of others, love and friendship, to abuse of political power and greed… that will resonate with all audiences.
