An evening of ritual, ambient, deep listening, experimental, musique concrete, sonic trances provided by DREKKA (Indiana), TIMBER RATTLE (Virginia), and JACOB DERAADT (Humboldt). Working under the name DREKKA since 1996, composer Michael Anderson has released a large body of work on labels such as Auris Apothecary, Dais, Fabrica, and more. Drekka has explored early industrial tape culture, fragile bedroom noise-folk, and expansive cinematic textures. TIMBER RATTLE explores the connections between primordial sound, landscape, and music. While never straying too far from the mountain-hymns that are at its roots, the songwriting is suffused with drone, collected recordings and sound-experimentation. JACOB DERAADT is Eureka-based tape loops, dry field recordings, vocal cut ups, synthesizer dirges, and anti-songs from the artist behind Basement Tapes. 21 & up only.
