Rudy
On Friday, January 31st at the Mateel Community Center, Youth Alive! will be combining forces with TRiO Talent Search to screen the next film of the NYA College Bound Film Series.
This month’s screening will feature the classic sports film favorite, Rudy (1993)—based on a true story about the life of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, who held on to his dreams of attending college and playing football at the University of Notre Dame.
We are pleased to announce that Eliot Baker, the assistant director of recreational athletics at Humboldt State University, will be joining us to share his insight on attending and playing for the school of your choice.
This event is free and open to everyone—students, parents, and community members are encouraged to join us. (Parental Advisory, PG)
Doors open at 6pm; Film starts at 6:30pm. For more details, or if you are interested in helping out at this event for community service hours, please contact the Youth Alive! Coordinator at youthalivevolunteers@gmail.com
