Eureka Symphony Spring Chamber Concert
The Eureka Symphony presents its annual Spring Chamber Concert featuring Terrie Baune, violin, Carol Jacobson, cello, and John Chernoff, piano, with special guest hornist Melissa Robinson on Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m. at the Eureka Woman’s Club at 1531 J Street in Eureka. This year’s concert highlights three great works of the Romantic period: Alexander Glazunov’s Chant du Menestrel for piano and cello, Johannes Brahms’ Horn Trio in E-flat major for French horn, violin and piano, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Trio #1 in D minor for violin, cello and piano. The performers will discuss the pieces and examine why they are such iconic works of the chamber music repertoire. Refreshments will be available at intermission. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the door, from the Symphony box office at 845-3655, or online at www.eurekasymphony.org. All proceeds go toward supporting the Eureka Symphony and its mission of presenting fine classical music to the North Coast.
