Cal Poly Humboldt - Goodwin Forum - Nelson Hall East 102. On December 5th, 2024, in Humboldt County, we experienced a M7.0 earthquake that triggered a tsunami warning all along the north coast of California. Join us in person or over Zoom (https://tinyurl.com/mrkra5z4) for an interactive presentation and discussion with a panel of local experts to learn more about earthquake and tsunami hazards and warning systems in our region, and what we can learn from this event to become more resilient as a community. Panel led by Lori Dengler and Melanie Michalak from Geology Department. Open to the public, light refreshments served.
