‘Evolution of the Book’
Local author Barry Evans will be giving a lecture entitled “Evolution of the Book” in the Eureka library’s large meeting room. The talk will discuss the history of the book form the invention of Gutenberg’s printing press to modern day. Evans has authored three books, “Bride of Field Notes,” “The Wrong-Way Comet and Other Mysteries of Our Solar System” and “Everyday Wonders: Encounters with the Astonishing World around Us,” as well as the North Coast Journal’s column “Field Notes.” Evans also served as a commentator on National Public Radio for four years.
