The Love Meter by Briggs Hatton, directed by Daniel Marcus
The owner of a dive bar needs repairs for her antique arcade game - a mysterious “love meter” that’s been through years of local lore.
WEEK TWO SHORT PLAYS JUNE 25 - JUNE 27
Bunnies by Greg Atkins, directed by Mitch Finn. Two friends meet up in a roadside motel room circa 1982. One is on the run, and the other is there to arrest him. A sweet and humorous look at two men facing the inevitable and the power of compassion.
Speed Play by Alex Dremann, directed by Merrick Yra. As they eat lunch on a bench in the park, Jackie and Henry play a game where they tell the stories of the strangers walking past before deciding to tell each other’s story.
One Small Step by Nina Ki, directed by Whittemore. Delilah, who is in the throes of a midlife crisis, is in the process of putting her dog William Jones down when she discovers that Earth is being invaded by aliens, and it is up to her to save the human race.
Peripeteia by Marc Gabriel, directed by Marc Gabriel. In a small, remote cabin on a dark and ominous night, an old blind woman, a mute girl, and a young man encounter a mysterious stranger who awakens an adventurous journey of destiny.
Real Housewives of the Apocalypse or Honeybun’s Guide to the End of the World by Jeanne Beckwith directed by Daniel Baer. Sometime in the future, something very bad has happened, and three women cheerfully sort out what remains of their world.
