Exploring Traditional Ukrainian Cuisine -At The Makers’ Space
Using local, seasonal produce we will be cooking and eating our way through some of the most culturally significant Ukrainian dishes. You will have the opportunity to experience traditional Ukrainian dishes such as Borscht (beet soup), Galuptsi (stuffed cabbage rolls), vinegrette (beet & pickle salad), katletki (ground meat cutlets), and syrniki (farmers cheese pancakes). We will be preparing galuptsi, borscht and syrniki together, all hands on deck! You will learn how to make these dishes so you can recreate them effortlessly anytime at home. We will be in the kitchen cooking for the first portion of the workshop and then we will sit down to eat together and enjoy the rewards our labor while we chat about Ukrainian dining traditions and food culture. Come hungry and ready to chef it up.
