Familiar Faces, The Lamonts, The Critics
Familiar Faces is an indie rock band from Southern California that was formed by identical twin brothers Sean and Chad Bierman, who serve as the lead guitarists and lead vocalists as well as the primary songwriters for the band. The band’s name is a nod to their physical resemblance and their deep connection as siblings.
Sean and Chad began playing guitar at the age of eight, and they honed their skills over the years by playing in various bands and creating music under the name “The Bierman Brothers.” Their passion for music brought them to the attention of the public, and they were featured on KLOS’s Heidi and Frank show in September 2021.
The band is rounded out by Brennan Murray on drums and Nonso Ikeji on bass guitar and backup vocals. Nonso and Brennan met Sean and Chad while attending Cypress Community College, and they joined the band in 2021. A few months down the line, The Bierman Brothers officially changed its name to Familiar Faces.
Familiar Faces has become known for their electrifying live performances, which have thrilled audiences up and down the coast of California at many large events and venues, including The Troubador, The Mint, Catalina Island, and DiPiazza’s. Don’t be surprised when you see them skateboarding while shredding guitar or climbing & jamming in the trees!
The band is currently recording with GRAMMY-winning producer/engineer Erik Zobler. Their music is a blend of psychedelic rock and indie rock, drawing inspiration from Tame Impala, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, and Jacob Collier. Their songs are relatable, speaking to the experiences of being a young adult in Southern California and all the challenges and excitement that come with it.
Despite their growing success, the members of Familiar Faces remain down-to-earth and friendly, always willing to engage with their fans and fellow musicians. Their love for music and their dedication to their craft is evident in everything they do, and they are poised for even greater things in the future.
