Farm to School Docent Orienation
Volunteers are needed to help lead farm field trips at DeepSeeded Community Farm and Shakefork Community Farm for 2-3rd graders this fall! As part of the Know Your Farmer program, these field trips help students develop a personal relationship with food and farming through hands-on activities that focus on science, agriculture, nutrition, social science, and more! Please attend the Farm to School Docent orientation on September 4th from 5-6 p.m. at the Greenway Building garden located at 1385 8th Street, Arcata to learn more. Trainings will be provided September 6th and 13th. Field trips will run 4 Wednesday and Thursday mornings in September.
