The Natural History Museum Cal Poly presents a talk on Favorite fungi: Meet the Parasites and Slimes, with Professor of Botany and Environmental Science, Maria Morrow. 1242 G St., Arcata, Friday, Nov. 7 from 6:30- 8 p.m. A wonderful exploration of the strange lives of mushrooms that rot, ooze, explode and even puppet insects. We will explore parasite and slime makers you might spot in our local forests. From mycilia free loaders to arthropod body snatchers! Whether you are new to mushrooming or a seasoned spore nerd, you’ll leave with new ID tips, cool eulogy facts, and probably a few delightful shudders! Look Closer!
