Fish Interpretive Walk
Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center
Friends of the Arcata Marsh is sponsoring a guided walk to learn about the fish living in the tidally influenced ponds at the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary. Meet Cal Poly Humboldt graduate student Lily Olmo at the Interpretive Center for this 90-minute, rain-or-shine walk. Lily and her research technicians will be using a seine net in and around Klopp Lake to capture fish. Attendees then will be able to observe some of the common species up close in handheld viewing tanks. Lily received a FOAM research grant for her studies of fish at the Marsh and at the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
