History Show and Potluck
Come join us for another entertaining History Night at the Freshwater Community Grange! Once again the Freshwater Community Grange is happy to host the very popular Jerry Rohde History series for 2015, sponsored by the Pierson Building Center. Jerry Rohde, local author and historian, will give an hour-long slideshow presentation on “Both Sides of the Bluff: How the Eel River Valley Connected to Humboldt Bay.” A family and child-friendly event, we’ll also have an optional potluck, too, if you’d like to share a friendly dish. Always entertaining and with lots of interesting pictures, we’d love for you to come on out and share some good food and hear about some unusual Humboldt history. And, as you know, Jerry always has more than a few interesting stories, facts, and answers to share about everything! Everyone is welcome, the presentation is FREE, and we’d love to see you at the Freshwater Community Grange this Friday, Nov. 6th, at either 6 or 7 pm. The Grange is located at 49 Grange Road in Eureka, near Garfield School and 2.2 miles east of Three Corners Market on Freshwater Road. The optional potluck starts at 6:00 pm. The program will begin around 7:00 pm. Please send this to others on your list and let your friends know— because we’d love to see all of you there. Oh— did we say it was FREE?
