Free Lecture on the McDaniel Slough Restoration

Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center

Hydrologist Conor Shea will give a presentation on the McDaniel Slough Wetland Restoration Project at the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center, 569 South G Street. He will discuss the original conditions of the project area, changes with development, and project design and goals. Conor also will cover environmental changes in McDaniel Slough that have occurred since project completion last fall. Conor works for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Coastal Program in Arcata, which provided engineering and environmental support in design and construction of the project. This is the latest in a series of free lectures on topics related to the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary that is sponsored by Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM).
