Friends of the Arcata Marsh Duck Teapot Online Auction
31 handcrafted ceramic wild duck teapots, made by Michael Harris in remembrance of his father, long-time HSU wildlife professor Stanley Harris, are up for bid. 100% of the proceeds will benefit FOAM’s environmental education and community outreach activities. Available species are teal, merganser, pintail, ruddy duck, canvasback, long-tailed duck, redhead, black duck, and common goldeneye. Most measure 13”L x 6”W x 8”H (including bamboo handle), beautifully glazed, can serve as both an art piece and a tea-brewing vessel! Pick up at Marsh Interpretive Center or can be shipped at winner’s expense. Auction starts Friday, May 20 and ends Wednesday, June 1 at 5 pm. Opening bids range from $30 to $40.
