Fungus and Fire is a collection of larger-than-life hand-blown glass mushrooms. The concept of the exhibit plays on the dualities of fire and nature. Fire plays a key role in glass making and is often seen as a destructive force, but it can also be a powerful tool for creation, similar to fungus. The artist’s hopes for visitors to leave this immersive experience with a new perspective of fungus and fire.
