Join Friends of the Lost Coast and the Bureau of Land Management on Saturday, May 31 from 9am to 3pm for a Geo-Ecology of Red Mountain hike in the South Fork Eel River Wilderness, a little-visited BLM holding east of Leggett. Featuring BLM Geologist, Sam Flanagan; ecologist, Kyle Keegan; and local resident, Jeff Hedin; this moderately strenuous hike will highlight the unique serpentine geology and ecology of Red Mountain.
