Arcata Playhouse

Arcata Playhouse hosts a benefit for local musician, artist Tim Gray. The evening of music will raise money for Gray’s medical expenses and feature Lyndsey Battle, Cory Goldman, Old Dog with Marty Dodd, Gary Davidson, Tom Pexton, and Dave Deason. Jeff Landon will also make an appearance and the evening will close out with Home Cookin’ with Gray, Fred Neighbor, Joyce Hough, Gary Davidson, and Mike Labolle for some dancing music. Several years ago Gray was diagnosed with a rare degenerative brain disorder which has restricted his ability to pursue his widely recognized talents as a musician and sound engineer/designer. Gray is well-known in Humboldt as a longtime songwriter, drummer, recording engineer, soul singer. He served as the musical director at Dell’Arte for the past 20 years. He was a member of numerous popular bands including Lance Romance, The Bayou Swamis, Barking Dogma and the Joyce Hough Band. He has engineered the sound recordings of many local musicians including all the performers scheduled for the benefit. He has been a mentor and inspiration to many local musicians.
