Welsh singer-songwriter GRUFF RHYS (frontman of legendary Britpop group SUPER FURRY ANIMALS, 1993 - 2010) embarked on a solo ‘investigative concert tour’ through the heart of America in 2012, following the 1790s route taken by his distant relative John Evans, who hoped to locate the Mandan, a mysterious Welsh-speaking tribe linked to an alleged 12th century pre-Columbus visit. What transpired was a 2014 album, ‘American Interior’ (feat. ex-FLAMING LIPS drummer Kliph Scurlock), plus a book, film, and tour. With the aid of power point visuals, Gruff Rhys revisits this ambitious multimedia project in 2025.
