Guardians of the Lost Coast
The history and modern operations of US Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay is the topic of Guardians Of The Lost Coast, a free virtual lecture with USCG Deputy Sector Commander, Christopher McAndrew, and presented by Friends of the Lost Coast on Thursday, June 26 from 7-8pm. USCG Sector Humboldt Bay serves the public along 250 miles of rugged coastline, where cold Pacific currents, powerful winter storms, offshore rocks, fog, and dangerous harbor entrances threaten seafaring vessels.
