Join Humboldt Area Peoples Archive at the Clarke Museum building on 3rd and E St in Old Town Eureka on Saturday May 20, 5-8pm for a new exhibit in collaboration with the Solstice Collective.
Humboldt Area Peoples Archive preserves the story of innovative people risking it all to make changes with national impacts. What happened here was bold. Here in Humboldt County, groundbreaking actions seeded economic development, environmental protection and cultural inclusiveness.
In this exhibit you will see our collection of the Civil Liberties Monitoring Project and learn how local organizing can strengthen democracy.
You will also see the pivotal role that independent media plays in shaping the narrative and shifting public opinion towards demanding accountability and transparency.
